LogiXML OLAP elements provide a front-end tool that's integrated into LogiXML managed reports and is used to query, analyze, and display data from OLAP cubes created in XMLA-compliant database servers such as Microsoft SQL Server with Analysis Services (SSAS).

Multidimensional databases are usually quite complex architectures in which intersections of relevant data are revealed so that the data is easier to group, summarize and analyze. Interactive access to OLAP data enables users to slice and dice cube data all on the fly by various dimensions, measures, and filters — all within their Web browsers.

Logi XOLAP

Logi XOLAP (pronounced "zo-lap") brings the analytical power of data cubes to your relational data and other diverse data sources such as Web services, XML, and files. Unlike traditional OLAP, all processing of multi-dimensional data within Logi XOLAP happens at run-time through the Logi Info business analytics engine, without the development and processing overhead of more traditional OLAP software.

Logi XOLAP enables you to "slice and dice" large amounts of data from your SQL queries and other data sources on demand. While traditional OLAP data is usually generated only periodically and may become outdated at some point in time, Logi XOLAP data is always current. This new, highly flexible model for bringing easy analysis to users can be very complimentary to traditional OLAP analysis.
