LogiXML Adds Global Growth Expert, Hormoz Hekmat, as COO to Drive Expansion Program

LogiXML is on a fast growth path, quickly acquiring new customers as well as adding new staff to its McLean, Virginia headquarters. On September 20, 2007, Hormoz Hekmat was officially announced as Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Reporting directly to LogiXML founder and CEO, Arman Eshraghi, Hormoz Hekmat will be responsible for day-to-day leadership of business operations. As COO, Hekmat will guide the operational aspects of LogiXML as it continues its fast growth. A key objective for Hekmat is to drive the growth and the success of LogiXML’s global expansion through direct sales and partnership programs. LogiXML currently has registered users in 77 countries and reselling partners on six continents.

“Hormoz’s experience in organization building and international sales make him an excellent addition to our leadership team,” says Arman Eshraghi. “His expertise will be a great asset as LogiXML continues to set the pace of growth in the Business Intelligence and reporting market. His experience in building global sales organizations and outstanding operations teams is critical to our expansion plan. I will now focus my attention on our aggressive new business intelligence product development program and on spending time with our valued customers. By shifting day-to-day operational responsibilities to Hormoz, I will be able prioritize my work more effectively.”

Hekmat has 20 years of experience in management in the high tech industry, including software development, marketing, sales and business development. Prior to joining LogiXML, he was executive VP and cofounder of Telarix, a telecommunications software company that provides interconnect billing, settlements and routing optimization solutions to international carriers. He helped raise $10 million of venture capital and was responsible for opening international markets for the company’s products and successfully led the sales effort to develop clients in the US, Europe, South America and Africa. Prior to Telarix, he was the cofounder of Cellular Concepts, a retailer of wireless products and services. He has also held positions with Watson Wyatt, ICF Consulting and the World Bank Group. He holds a BA in economics and BS in computer science from the George Washington University.

Business Intelligence Industry Experts Headline Upcoming LogiNexus 2008 User Conference

LogiXML schedules Shawn Rogers of The Business Intelligence Network, David Loshin of Knowledge Integrity, Lyndsay Wise of TEC, and European Dashboarding expert Gabriel Fuchs to speak at first annual business intelligence (BI) user conference, LogiNexus 2008.

“Our customers are innovators in the use of a Web-based BI platform to develop their reporting and analysis applications,” said LogiXML founder and CEO Arman Eshraghi. “We know they are hungry for additional knowledge, so we have assembled an outstanding lineup of noted business intelligence industry experts for our LogiNexus 2008 user conference.”

Shawn Rogers, executive editor and cofounder of The Business Intelligence Network (BeyeNETWORK.com), will be a keynote speaker. Shawn has over 16 years of IT experience with a focus on Internet-enabled technology, holding various executive level positions including vice president and associate publisher. His past industry experience and wide knowledge of both IT and business management enable him to provide extensive industry insight for the Business Intelligence Network.

David Loshin, the president and principal consultant at Knowledge Integrity, will also be a keynote speaker. David is the author of "Enterprise Knowledge Management - The Data Quality Approach," and "Business Intelligence: The Savvy Manager's Guide." David is widely recognized as an expert in information quality, frequently contributing to Intelligent Enterprise and serving on the editorial board of DMReview magazine.

Special topical presentations will also be delivered by Web-based BI expert Lyndsay Wise of TEC and Dashboarding consultant Gabriel Fuchs.

Lyndsay Wise of TEC is a senior research analyst for the BI and business performance management industries. For more than seven years, she has assisted clients in business systems analysis, software selection and implementation of enterprise applications. She is a monthly columnist for DMReview and writes reviews for leading technologies, products and vendors in business intelligence, data integration, business performance management and customer data integration.

Hailing from Switzerland, Gabriel Fuchs is a renown expert in strategic IT solutions, including business intelligence, performance management and business analytics. After having witnessed technologies come and go and fads appear and disappear, he observes that the basics still rule in the BI world. He has worked within a range of different industries and activities all over Europe, helping organizations align key operational activities with the strategic goals. Gabriel is the author of the management book “Dealing with Nasty Colleagues: The Art of Winning in Office Politics while Still Getting the Job Done.

LogiNexus 2008 will be held January 13-16, 2008 at The Peabody Orlando Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
