LogiXML Releases Version 8.1 of Web-based Logi 8 Business Intelligence Platform

LogiXML Continues to Deliver on the Promise of Customer Responsiveness with Exciting New Product Updates in Logi 8

Logi 8 provides your organization with a complete, integrated and interactive Web-based business intelligence (BI) platform that is easy to implement, easy to license, easy to learn and easy to upgrade. Logi 8 is designed to offer all the valuable BI capabilities users across your organization may need including comprehensive corporate reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting for your non-technical users, and valuable BI data services.

The groundbreaking Version 8.0 debuted in January. Since that time, LogiXML has continued to deliver exciting interactive reporting and analysis features across our product lines that give our customers immediate impact in improving decision-making. The latest release of Logi 8, Version 8.1, offers many enhancements and powerful components like geographic visualization and Word templates to offer your end users more options in analysis and decision-making.

In the Logi 8 platform, Logi Ad Hoc now fully supports reporting on data from Logi Mart, Logi 8’s powerful yet easy-to-implement ‘Easy Mart’ solution for storing, scheduling and delivering reporting and analysis data. For Logi Ad Hoc customers who have multiple Logi Ad Hoc Reporting Servers, you now can also take advantage of an administrative utility for meta data change management that updates and synchronizes shared objects in the metadata.

To quickly visualize data in report columns on-the-fly, the interactive cell bar and color slider let you see high and low ranges of values and easily change your view.

End users also have more flexibility in customizing how parameters appear in Logi Ad Hoc reports. Using report parameters, you can easily add prompts to reports so that when the report is run, users can limit report results to be more meaningful, for example, to show results by specific date, region, time frame, and so on.

Adding to our vast library of chart types, polar/radar charts are useful for cyclical data comparisons.

By integrating with Google Maps, Logi 8 allows you to make effective use of the geographic components of your data -- like city, state and zip code -- to visualize and analyze data in terms of geographic impact. You can answer questions like, ‘What are our most productive sales regions? In the last year? In the last 90 days? Where have we seen outbreaks of a certain disease or virus?’ Google Maps integration lets you easily “geo-code” addresses by showing longitude/latitude locations using markers on a map, and those markers can easily link to other reports.

The new event logging feature of Logi Info helps you to easily track usage and pinpoint issues for analysis. The system logs several different types of events, including session start and end, user authentication, SQL queries, and SQL stored procedure execution to support this analysis.

Version 8.1 also includes advanced improvements to Microsoft Excel export features. Now, Logi 8 allows you to export images, time and dates, formulas like totals, multiple data tables, and to multiple worksheets. To help you customize look-and-feel, you also can apply stylesheets to resulting spreadsheets.

Enhancements to Logi OLAP Reporting continue to make it easier for users to view, analyze and slice-and-dice OLAP data in any Web browser. Users can further investigate results and related reports using convenient drill-through capabilities. Users can also more easily select multiple dimensions and measures at once as well as apply grouping to measures for easier viewing.

Various performance improvements have been added to the Logi 8 'Easy' Data Mart solution, Logi Mart, for faster report results on complex calculations like grouping, moving averages, ranking, aggregations, among others. Administrative enhancements include connection testing and data preview features for your IT personnel to easily verify setup of the data mart tables. It also provides a way to append added source data to Logi Mart tables so you are always reporting on the most up-to-date information.
