Think Outside the Box with External Definitions
Logi Info and Report definition files normally come from the app's _Definitions\ _Reports folder. However, developers can specify definitions that come from an external data source, such as a database or a web service. Here's how: The External Definitions element is the key. Available in Logi Info and Report, you add this element to your application's _Settings definition. Beneath it, you add a datalayer that will retrieve your definition data from a data source. The data it retrieves should consist of two columns: ReportID, which contains report definition names (without .lgx), and Definition, which contains the raw XML of report definitions.
