Using Search and Advanced Search
For your convenience, you can easily search for articles by specific text. Follow these steps to use Search.
For a simple text search:
- In the text box in the upper right corner of the Logi BIz Comm site, type the text for which you are searching, and then click Search.
For an advanced text search:
- Under the Search box, click Advanced Search.
- In the Search for: box, type the text for which you are searching.
- From the Search as: drop-down list, select a search type as one of the following:
- All Words - Returns articles that contain all specified words
- Any Words - Returns articles that contain any of the specified words
- Boolean Expression - Uses logical operators like 'and,' 'or,' or 'not' to return articles, for example, chart and not table. For a list of possible Boolean expressions and operators, click here.
- Exact Expression - Returns articles that contain the exact phrase you enter, for example Analysis Grid
- Natural Language - Lets you enter a free-text search, for example, What is a smart client?
- From the Sort by: drop-down list, you can select the following criteria by which to sort the results (in descending order):
- Rank - Most relevant article as determined by the search engine
- Document Title - Name of the article
- Last Modified - Date the article was last updated
- Click Search.
