Petersen, Inc. purchased a small enterprise resource planning (ERP)-type system to input, track and bill orders at their Precision Machining Division but were disappointed with the reporting capabilities of this system. Their managers needed better tools to track and report on manufacturing output. Logi Info allowed the flexibility to capture all of their data and show the data in many different formats, with both graphs and charts. The product also allowed user input to help refine the data. Virgin Vie At Home selected Logi 8 because they needed an easy-to-use and easy-to-access system that was fully Web-based and could be accessed from anywhere. LogiXML offers a licensing model that places no limits on the number of users. Supporting a base of 12,000+ users meant that a "cost per seat" model would simply not work for them. Another key objective was cutting down the number of individual queries that were required to meet the needs of the sales consultants.
