Editor's Note

Hi Everyone! Welcome to this month’s edition of Logi BIzLink, the quarterly newsletter of the LogiXML Business Intelligence Community (Logi BIzComm).

As you’ll see, we have a new look for Logi BIz Comm! Our ‘facelift’ helps to more clearly identify our mission. This is to provide a central source of valuable BI information and to encourage collaboration within our business user community. Logi BIzComm only gets better when readers like you participate. We invite you to submit comments and feedback on each article that you read as well as submit your own content or ideas to be published on Logi BIzComm.

As evidenced by the survey we’ve been running on Logi BIz Comm, dashboards are still at the top of the list of key interest areas in BI. We polled our readers on which white paper they would like to see next: Dashboards, ROI of BI, or Subscription-based Licensing. A resounding number of respondents voted for Dashboards, and we listened! Keep your eyes open for a new Dashboard Best Practices white paper, which we will have available at the end of this quarter.

Ever wondered what mashups are and how they can be leveraged in BI applications? If so, you must read our feature article, which is authored by our newest editorial staff member, Tom Leoni. Welcome, Tom!

We have also updated the BI in Action section of Logi BIz Comm so that you can read about real world examples of how Logi BI solutions have helped to solve a wide range of critical challenges for our valuable customers and partners.

Happy Reading!

Sincerely,

Rachel Shortt
Editor, LogiBIzLink
