How Does the Analysis Grid Work?

A developer simply sets attributes for the Analysis Grid such as security, the data source(s) from which to pull data, and the interactive features to enable for users. This tool also allows developers to guide users in their search. They can set up a range of options from a list of parameters in radio buttons or drop down boxes to define the search or by allowing users to fully manipulate report results by adding/removing columns, creating new calculations, and so on. The developer maintains control over what the user can or cannot do.

When a business user opens an Analysis Grid in their browser, data is loaded directly from the database for the user to view and manipulate as needed. Users can filter, sort and group results. They can also change fields, columns, aggregations, and calculations and so on, in real-time, on the fly. And, they can save these settings as needed to create fully personalized reports.
